Teamspeak 2 sound settings tutorial (Windows XP)
Teamspeak settings:
Open TS and choose menu settings tab:

choose options:

1.Set Direct sound as sound driver
2. Buffer size to better sound quality
3. set your soundcard like in the pic

4. --> Apply
Windows sound settings:
open Startmenu -> open control panel

choose sounds, speech and audio devices:

chosse advanced:

volume control opens, choose options --> properties

1. choose your soundcard at pulldown menu (e.g. C-Media Wave Device)
2. set volume control to "Record"
3. choose the volumecontrol sliders (checkbox stereo mix, mic etc.)
4. confirm --> click OK

at volume control panel choose options again --> properties:
1. choose your soundcard
2. set volume control to playback
3. select the volume control sliders (Volume control, Wave, Microphone)
4. confirm , click OK

5. close the volume control panel
Next step:
Window "sounds and audio decices properties" choose tab "Voice"
Step 1:
click Volume button at Playback --> #1

push the Microphone slider to the max and check box "mute"

Step 2:
click volume button at "Record" --> #2
push the mic slider to the max and check box "select"

Step 3:
The Mic-booster has to be enganged.
Depending on the soundcard one can access this option this way:
1. Way:
at recording Control click advanced below the Mic slider
check box for Microphone +20dB Boost
2. Way:
open the options menu at the recording control:
choose the +20dB booster
3. Way (only few cases apply):
Some Soundcards (even onboard Sound like AC 97) use itīs own program to control the win-soundsettings, sometimes this software displays a
small icon in the windows systray (right beside the windows clock), or this software runs in the backround of windows without a visible process in the taskmanager.
In this case one can start/configure the software and engange the +20db micboost.
If the icon is not available in the systray, you have to search for the control program by using the windows explorer:
search for: mixer.exe or sound.exe and open the program:
step 2:
select your external sound control by double click on the icon:

engage the booster:
